How to Best Use Strength Machines
When you're using a strength machine, keep these tips to mind so you can use the machine safely and effectively:
- Your spine should remain straight and abdominal muscles tight
- The correct posture and settings are diverse and usually machine specific. See each machines' user manual for directions. However, in general:
- Use complete range of motion
- Control the weight - no sudden movements, be slow and steady in both movement directions such as up/down or in/out
