Fun workouts and sturdy machine

I work out 3-4 times a week on my MT 16 since I got it. Being able to watch streaming programs while still having the coaching is a great plus and makes the workouts fly by.

Will I.

Completely Worth it, Even for a Cardio "hater"

My wife and I love the max trainer 16. I loath cardio, but for some reason I really enjoy getting on here and letting Max pick out a workout just for me. The operation is smooth and quiet enough that we can use it across the hall from our kids rooms while they are sleeping. Even doing the shorter workouts I feel like I got a good workout in, which is great if you don't always have 30+ minutes in your busy day because there is no excuse not to use this. You will be consistent which is the largest benefit to this machine. It's not perfect, but there is really only one gripe I've found about the machine itself. the rest are with JRNY and I feel like it's important to distinguish the difference. Machine: The only thing I'm not totally impressed with is the resistance knob. It's not as tactile as I think it should be, and I haven't been able to discern how much to spin for one resistance level. When your going fast on the machine and have to drop or raise the resistance, sometimes I find myself skipping levels which is kind of annoying. With that being said I've only gone up to about 6 resistance, and haven't seen a huge impact between individual levels (level 1 to 6 is obviously an increase, but 1 to 2 not so much) I love everything else. JRNY: It's not bad, but I find it's really lacking compared to other platforms (maybe just because it's a newer platform, I don't know). I like the adaptive workouts, like the music stations, and like the ability to stream tv and movies. My wife likes the coaching workouts. What I would really like to see is a more gamified experience. You earn digital badges which is nice, but it would be great to have leaderboards, live workouts, or challenges where if completed you get a small prize (A magnet or something). I also like the idea of the explore the world, but would love to either follow a trainer through the terrain, or have someone kind of explain what I'm looking at as I go (like a tour guide). Overall a great system

Perfect for an at-home full workout

I was looking for a machine that would help me accomplish my goals of getting back into an everyday workout routine from home, this is EXACTLY the machine I needed. Well worth the price.

Best Purchase - Bowflex Max Total 16

I wanted to take a moment to give my review regarding the Bowflex Max Total 16. It took about two weeks to decide whether or not I wanted a traditional elliptical or purchase a Max Trainer. I knew that I wanted a piece of equipment that felt as close as possible to the equipment in the gym. I also knew that I wanted something where I could burn a good amount of calories within reasonable amount time. After reviewing all the popular companies and types of elliptical, I finally decided on the Max Trainer. I was going to purchase the Max Trainer M9 but due to popular demand I was left with either the M6 or MT16. I decided to pay more than I wanted for a piece of equipment and purchased the MT16. Honestly, it was probably the best decision that I made because I am very happy with my machine. I love the compact design, so it does not take a lot of space. When I hop on the machine, I really feel like I am on sturdy piece of equipment. Plus, the foot pedals are oversized and I am enjoying the larger screen. Let me say that I did my research and understood that the Max Trainers are not your traditional elliptical machine. This is completely true. The stride is definitely more like a step but the grip handles allow for that traditional arm movement of an elliptical.

Great machine for home use

My wife and I wanted to get a machine and after some research we settled on the Max Total 16 and we are very happy that we did. There are many different workout options from beginner to more advanced and with a trainer or watching Netflix, Amazon, etc. If you are good at putting things together at all, the assembly will be easy, it just takes a little bit of time. We couldn't be more happy with our purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat!
