Amazing Day at TSC

Amazing Day at TSC

Well it came and went, and as always the day was crazy amazing at TSC. My first show was at 6:00 am our time and I had a new host I hadn't had before and a new model. That first 10 minutes on air I am always most nervous.
TSC is bringing me back for round 3!

TSC is bringing me back for round 3!

Sharing my story with others and the success that the treadclimber gave me, is something I truly enjoy doing. This machine changed my life. It gave me results, it showed me I could do this and it's been almost 3 years and I've kept it off. I can't tell you how humbling and just great I feel doing it, knowing that people are hearing my story and thinking - I could do that too. It warms my heart in a way I can't explain.
One of the best things about being active is how it influences my son

One of the best things about being active is how it influences my son

Being four now, literally everything he sees he does or mimics or wants to try. Which trust me can be frustrating at times since he literally had no fear. But it makes me excited when it comes to him seeing me workout. Penn has been in lacrosse which just wrapped up on the weekend- and watching him out there made me so proud. Penn knows what it's like to run or workout, so out there he was always running, always participating, and just always giving it 100%. Truly can't tell you how special that is to see. He also everytime I'm working out will come down and ask if he can workout with me or will tell me I'm sweaty and doing a good job.
Making the change as daunting as it seems, is always worth it

Making the change as daunting as it seems, is always worth it

And I instantly knew I had to share it with all you. Change is scary, and the idea of failing or making the wrong choice is even scarier. But what I can tell you is starting, and making the change as daunting as it seems, is always worth it. As much as before actually starting the workout sucks or finding the motivation to just do it is hard... After I promise you no one ever thinks 'wow I really wish I didn't do that workout' No after you always feel way better, even if it's a sore better.
Week 2

Week 2

I don't know why I wasn't smiling in this picture, but regardless I am on week 2 of my new workout plan and eating right and it's going so great! It's amazing how quickly you can get back into a great grind once your head is in it and your routine is there. This is why I have always said you need to 'want it' if you arn't it will just continue to be the motions and you won't be pushing yourself.
Re-start - round 2

Re-start - round 2

You know when you get in a rut and you try to get out of it and then you might not necessarily fall back in but you can see your not quiet going the direction you want to .... Well this is what happened to me. Life happened I got busy and then I was ready to get back on track- ready to start back again. And I would.. But then I would struggle to get into a good routine. I ended up hurting my shoulder on the trampoline so that has been all sorts of not fun with lots of chiro-ing and massage therapy.
Life Happens for Everyone

Life Happens for Everyone

I am a true believer of fitness should be a part of your life, not your whole life. Balance is important and sometimes even though you have the best intentions life runs away on you and you don't get your workout in. Guess what- thats ok, there is no point beating yourself up and getting down on yourself when you can just make a plan and start fresh. My last 30 days have been crazy.. Meaning my workouts have been very sporadic and my posts not there.
Sometimes looking good, helps you feel good

Sometimes looking good, helps you feel good

If you guys haven't figured it out, I LOOOVE workout clothes. It's actually pretty embarrassing how much I wear 'athletic wear' when I am not being 'athletic' Like if you think leggings aren't pants, I am not sure we can be friends, because I would say I own 80% 'gym' clothes' and then 20 percent regular people clothes. I won't even say a number because well ...its slightly embarrassing. ha-ha I joke, I joke. But kind of serious. ha-ha. Truth being told sometimes I do still like wearing jeans, but chances are if you run into me around town, dropping Penn off at preschool or at the rink I am in leggings, a hat and probably a sweater that's a couple sizes too big. It's like boho chic. But actually, just comfy, kind of just ran out of the door.
My review of the new Bowflex TreadClimber TC100

My review of the new Bowflex TreadClimber TC100

Let me start by saying I have had my model the TC10 for three years, its the model I lost all my weight with, its the model I continued to use after my weight loss. In the three years I have had my treadclimber not once did I have any issues with it. So when the new upgraded models were released in December of 2015 I didn't 'need' a new model but I love this machine so much that I couldn't wait to have one! So to start if your wondering if I think the TC10 is a great option, 100% I will always love that machine.
My Second Shopping Channel Experience

My Second Shopping Channel Experience

I never in a 100 years would have thought people would respond to my story like this, that someone would say things like 'your an inspiration' or that you could 'have results like me'. I really don't have words, it's so honouring and humbling. I always say it, to me I'm a super average person. I am awkward and silly and even a touch outrageous sometimes. I don't look like a fitness model or pretend to be one, but I do just love telling people about this machine because for what it did for me and if people can relate to me that is something that I will never find words for because it's so amazing and surreal to me.
How I've been preparing to be on The Shopping Channel again

How I've been preparing to be on The Shopping Channel again

Come Saturday night I will be on The Shopping channel for my first LIVE show at 10 pm. I'm nervous I'm excited I'm anxious Now this time I feel much more relaxed with knowing what to expect and where I'm going and all that from when I went in September. Yet this time there is twice the shows and product so I am just feeling more nervous that way. So how have I been preparing?
Call it endorphins or habit or whatever you like | Here, fitness blogger Chandell Tytlandsvik proposes another benefit of a good workout – helping you cope with the loss of a beloved pet.

Call it endorphins or habit or whatever you like

I always knew I felt better after I worked out but I had never been in a situation where I needed to 'calm' myself and used working out to help that. On Tuesday night after that long day, I neeeeded that workout. My body was craving something and as soon as I worked out I felt instantly better. It was almost like a weight being taken off me, don't get me wrong it wasn't even a great workout, but it was something. Call it endorphins or habit or whatever you like. Exercising doesn't just do the body good, it is good for the mind. So now I will never second guess that, if I am needing a mental reset the basement for a workout is exactly where I am going.
TSC is Bringing Me Back!!

TSC is Bringing Me Back!!

Well it's been a little less then 6 months since I flew to Toronto and I did 3 shows sharing my story and selling them out of Treadclimbers on LIVE TV for The Shopping Channel!Well they are bringing me back, but this time instead of scheduling 3 shows it will be 7 and the 'Showstopper deal of the weekend' (which I have been told is a very big deal)
Making the time

Making the time

If your a busy mom like me with pre school, and sports and all the things around the house, making meals and everything. Finding time to workout some days is beyond a challenge- this is the first thing. Stop 'looking for the time' and make it!
Time to attack your resolutions

Time to attack your resolutions

January is well on its way and so are my resolutions – My workouts have been top notch with my cardio being bumped up by 20 extra minutes. Like I said I want 2016 to be my fittest year yet, so I figured lets start with more cardio and more squats and go from there...Another Resolution of mine was to try juicing.

12 hives of Christmas

Well is your life starting to get back to normal after Christmas? Or are you stuck between the awkwardness of Christmas Holidays, not knowing what day it is so you're still napping and eating whatever you want? Either way I hope your Christmas was amazing!Mine was VERY eventful!
A onesie for Christmas (and a new TreadClimber)

A onesie for Christmas (and a new TreadClimber)

Can you believe it? Christmas is literally around the corner! This December has been busier than ever and went by faster that I was ready for. Penn has been right into everything this year.
Enjoy the holidays. Health is also living in balance | Fitness blogger Chandell Tytlandsvik reminds you that it’s great to keep your heart in shape, but this holiday season don’t forget to let your heart be light, as well.

Enjoy the holidays because being healthy is also living in balance

Enjoy the Holidays Can you believe it, Christmas is literally around the corner. And Christmas means Gingerbread houses, chocolate treats, Christmas drinks and a big yummy meal at the end of it. It also means a lot of fun with your friends and your family. So if you are wondering my thoughts on how to balance it all with staying healthy and exercising….I say ENJOY IT!

What gave me the belief in myself was the results

Before I decided I needed to make a change in my life and order the TreadClimber, I would make excuses for all the reasons I 'couldn't do it'

The workouts you don't want to do are the most important

We all have those days where your workouts feel sub par, and you feel like this Where throughout your whole workout you are struggling to push harder, your tired and you honestly can not wait for it to be over...
Chandell's Fitness Must Haves

Chandell's Fitness Must Haves

For me there are just certain things that I 'need' in order have a great workout: Good Running Shoes This is an absolute must. If you are finishing your workout and the bottom of your feet are hurting or are extremely sore, chances are you don't have on proper shoes. For me I really like Asics running shoes but I found they fell apart in the heel quickly.
Get back to your workouts after holidays

Get back to your workouts after holidays

Thanksgiving: the Fall holiday where you get together with your family and visit, have drinks, and eat a lot of food! Now, maybe not everyone in the fitness world will agree with me…but I am a firm believer in calories don't count on holidays.
Mud, Sweat and Tears

Mud, Sweat and Tears

Well, I can say there was no tears and with how cold it was only a bit of sweat, but there sure was a TON of mud! What an awesome event!! I am just so excited to tell you guys all about it! When I signed up for this mud race Ready to do Anything... Even Mudd!
Challenges are what make fitness fun

Challenges are what make fitness fun

You know that feeling when someone does something and they make it look soooo easy, you all of a sudden think you can do it too? Well, this happened to me.

Find Balance in your Cooking

I have mentioned in my other posts that my husband has played hockey his whole life - him playing hockey is actually how we met. He was playing his first year of junior hockey in Estevan and I went to a party and well, the rest was history.
Chandell's experience on the Shopping Channel

Chandell's experience on the Shopping Channel

I am not going to pretend I wasn't awkward, I was. I did a whole lot of weird things with my hands and said sentences that really didn't get finished. I even lost my footing on my machine once when walking and talking. BUT it all must have resonated with viewers because WE SOLD OUT and everyone I got the chance to meet at The Shopping Channel was so excited about how it went and how I did. Which, wow, is so crazy.

You have to make fitness a priority in your life

Now I always hear: the older you get the more your body changes. But truth is, it's the more YOU change. Yes, your metobolism slows down, and yes it is harder to find the time to be active. But truthfully, it's you who has to decide to make fitness a priority in your life. And it would be easier to sit on the couch or crush a bag of chips and it would be easier to use that time for working out to do absolutely anything else in your house like clean your floors... but you know what, it's not going to make you feel better about yourself.
Ready to do Anything... Even Mudd!

Ready to do Anything... Even Mudd!

Last week I was in Toronto for a very quick 24 hours doing my training with The Shopping Channel. Honestly, it was so helpful and I was really glad it was done two weeks in advance. If you're curious, I did cry when telling my story to my trainer... when I am nervous and speaking to someone that doesn't already know me trying to explain who I was, it just crushes me.

The smallest decisions can impact your life!

Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that really impact your life, that change everything so quick you don't even understand until after it happens. This is what happened for me. I ordered a Treadclimber and it has now changed everything! Trust me I know that sounds cliche... as I was typing it I thought 'ah really, use any other wording!' But I can't… it really has changed everything!

Don't wait to start your workout routine - start now!

Fall is about getting back to normal, back to a routine. Almost like the 'real' start of the year. School starts back up, sports and programs get rolling, and the BBQs and summer patio drinks come to an end. So I ask you..how are you starting your fall? What kind of 'routine' do you want to get into?
Don't be afraid to take photos!

Don't be afraid to take photos!

I love pictures, a lot. Right up there with poutines and popcorn. The love is deep for me. In high school. my bedroom walls around my bed were covered in 4x6 pictures, so it should be no surprise now I have pictures everywhere throughout my house... although I must say in my opinion they look way better than the taped on the wall look I had going before haha.

30 Day Squat Challenge Results

If I was to grade myself on this 30 day squat challenge, I would give myself a 65% ... this is why they call it a "challenge." The first time I did this I didnt miss a day, this time I missed more then a few. But how did you do? Did you finish it? Share with me if you liked it! Here are my results...

When we went to LA in May of 2014 to shoot my Treadclimber commercial with Bowflex, everyone was talking about this new 'Max Trainer' that had just been rolled out.
Just Take Some 'Me' Time

Just Take Some 'Me' Time

Regular life is busy. You have your family to look after, your home to clean, your meals to shop for and prepare and your job. Then you add in your workouts, catching your friend for a visit, and if you have kids, add in their activities. Finding time for yourself, time to just relax is always a challenge. So do you do it? In my opinion it is a must!

Chandell's Sample Treadclimber Workout

The last week I have been cruuuushing my workouts on the treadclimber. My weights I wasn't so much feeling each day and seemed to cut that short, but the cardio was on point!! I blogged about it earlier in my post "Frequently Asked Questions" after the commercial, and it hasn't really changed: People still ask me about the treadclimber all the time. Best part is I actually love talking about it to people so I thought; why not go in to more detail how I use it.
5 Tips for Keeping your Workouts on Track

5 Tips for Keeping your Workouts on Track

Last week I told you I was done with the excuses. I wrote out my workouts and was ready to push myself harder than I had been, I was ready to get back to a good groove and just back to feeling unstoppable. So how did it go you ask? Honestly, I am feeling pretty great about it. Every workout last week I crushed, and I swear I got them done way faster feeling way better because I had that plan.

If you don't like something, change it!

I have always been a firm believer of 'If you don't like something, then change it!' Now before, I only used to apply this to things like my wardrobe, wall colours, jobs etc. But truth be told, you can use that motto for everything, like yourself. Last week I wrote about being in a bathing suit and how I loved swimming and just enjoying time with Penn...

"I am OK with being average"

"I am OK with being average"

I have been wanting to talk about this for so long, but I have been so worried that maybe it just wouldn't be a good post, that maybe I wouldn't get my thoughts out just right.

Motivation to lose weight comes from within

When I hit rock bottom with my weight, I was at a point that I KNEW I had to make a change. I was physically and emotionally exhausted with being overweight. I was tired of seeing pictures of myself and deleting almost everyone one, of asking my husband everyday 'do I look fat in this?', tired of buying into every promise to give me results in 30 days when nothing worked.
